Grammy’s 2016

I’m a little late, but here is the ‘list’ of best dressed and the worst. As always my reviews are my opinions at best. I’ll also make a post with the most outlandish (and terrifying) dresses that made it on the Red Carpet.

This is Demi’s first Grammy’s and in all honesty I think she slayed it. At the AMAs she didn’t do so well but this time she made a stunning turn around. What I like about this outfit is that it looks modest and masculine but with sex appeal and a touch of femininity.

Taylor is starting to come out more! The most exciting thing about this outfit is that is stunned everyone (in a good way) at the Grammy’s. Paired with the hair, it makes a great look for this now-turned pop star singer. And because she has the perfect body type (tall and slim) a cropped  tube top and bright colors work well on her.

Honestly the hairstyle killed it. And sometimes you need to recognize when a hairstyle doesn’t work for you. A mullet does not work for Zendaya as it places too much emphasis on her head and takes a way from her true beauty. And the outfit? The look doesn’t suit her style nor shape. Maybe a tailored pencil skirt or a slim fitting pants may have worked in it’s place.

Thumbs up to Tori for rocking an emerald green dress on the red carpet. The entire style, choice of color and fabric as well as it’s drapery makes this a top-notch dress on the red carpet as well as on Tori. And her fierceness and poise (contrasting, yes) makes this dress stand out more. Whoever her stylist is knows exactly how to put together a celebrity for events like these.

Personally, this is not my favorite look. The reason why is because while I’m all for all black, I don’t think I like this style and I don’t think I like it on Adele. However the structure of the dres s fits Adele’s shape. It accentuates her curves, makes her look slimmer at the waist and fits her well.

I’m not a big fan of Selena’s dress which looks like it was too big for her at the bust so they tied it up at the back to make it appear to fit. It has this ‘I’m about to fall off please pull me up’ look which I hate. The color is so-so but maybe something a little brighter might do Selena some justice.

Honestly, I was not expecting this from Gucci. This doesn’t look like something Gucci designed. This looks like something Florence found in the thrift shop of her local Red Cross. Gucci needs to do better and Florence’s stylist needs to know the difference between ‘daring’ and ‘dare not’. And she better dare not make the same mistake twice.

Some people may say that this is a stylish dress so while it is daring it is not red  carpet. If anything it IS a carpet. Too much furs and feathers and not enough structure. The tiered part of this dress does no justice to the size of Kacey only making her look like a tall and weirdly shaped woman. While the colors are beautiful, the shape of the dress takes a way from that and now she looks like a peacock in mating season.

Bella is a pretty person but doing Demi’s style I’m dress form to me is something out the box — and should probably go back in. While she does have the body to this look, in my opinion it is too simplistic for a girl like Bella and adding sparkles to it? A big no-no.

Carie is obviously one pretty girl and so while her hair and makeup slays her dress does different. I’m a very huge fan of black but for some reason this dress makes Carie appear bigger. The gathers at her hip to the weird bulge at the side of her leg just makes everything unbalanced. At it gets even worst with the slit at the side. The dress does look pretty but just not on Carie.
