Organization Tips for Fashion Designers

Hey there,

It’s been a while, but here we are. This is the first of a new series that I noticed there wasn’t enough of on the net. As a part of the ‘Confessions if a Designer’ series, I thought this would be a good time to share — I’m not very good at organizing.

In my busy life, trying to put together work life and furthering my fashion career seems draining and since I’m thinking of school, I figured, why not start organizing my life? That is when I discovered the world of YouTube and organization.

It makes life easier.

The thing with YouTube organization that I love is that colors coordination makes wanting to be organized much bearable than ever before. Plus the hacks they use are pretty fun to watch. But the downside: no videos for aspiring fashion designers and students. That’s where this blog comes in.

As the first part of this series I thought I’d introduce you to something less hectic and more easily approachable: knowing yourself.

The first step to knowing yourself is being honest with yourself, which I’m also not good at, but I try to take mental notes of what people may say of my personality, though I may not always readily agree with them.

Being a friendly outspoken person is one thing and being an introvert is another. I’m a bit of both. I enjoy the company of people and love socializing, but I’m not one to go out of my way to do that. If I could I’d stay home all day. I find enjoyment and peace of mind in solitude.

If you aspire to be a designer of any sort, you must know that intermingling with people is a must and that showcasing enthusiasm in things you love is a plus. And its also okay to be an introvert as long you’re pleasant and kind, you’ll go a far way.
